Mia Farrow was in India with the Beetles studying under the Maharishi Yogi... then, something went wrong.

Any similarities to the people depicted is coincindental - this film does not mean any disrepespect to the Maharishi nor his followers, but is an analysis rather of what might be considered hypocrisy by the Beatles, as their 'all you need is love' / free love credo apparently excludes--to the point of hostile rejection-- carnality in their gurus.
